j'adore paris

i took a road trip through france

<> {5} girls

<> {4} days

<> {3} hundred photos

<> {2} cities

<> {1} great easter weekend

we started off our trip

{friday} morning

packed the car full

with -girls- & -suit cases-

off we went

a road trip wouldn't be complete

without a {flat} tire

of course this happened with my travelling luck

but with -five- girls

we got it taken care of

no men needed

first night

lyon, france

what a beautiful city

we had all afternoon there

we walked around on the river

sun, shiny day

stopped at some {ancient} ruins

they were quite old

just chilling in the middle of the city in 2010

then we walked up a big hill

a.k.a --- basically a mountain

there was a breathtaking cathedral sitting high above the town

(the city has hills rolling through it)

so we decised to walk up to it... although I didn't post a photo of "IT"

{forty-five} minutes later we got there

BUT worth the view from the top

it over-looked the {entire} city

there were patio lights strung along the banks

chairs lining the river walk

there were induvidual boats that had restaurants & pubs on them

just floating on the river

day {two}

woke up

off to paris

a couple ipod play lists later we arrived in paris

first stop

the {famous} louvre museum

i love this architecture of the museum

hello naked statue

i would lay naked if i were always in paris too

it started to rain

no.... pour

what better to do than {shop}

so on to the champs elysee

famous street for it shopping

at the end of the street is the famous---

arc di triomphe

at this point we had been walking {all} day

but we had to see the eiffel

i have missed this tower

i saw it {two} years ago

& have missed it ever since

sam and i

.beautiful.

let the rain fall down

we didn't care.

we were in paris.

day {two}

easter sunday

not home for my mom's easter egg hunt

{sad}

i still had to make the BEST of the day

of {course} i did

brunch at angelina’s

sam & i

an american girls date

fun

it is -famous- throughout all paris

for its hot chocolate

celebs go there

it was .yummy.

i got to attend easter mass at notre dame

a-m-a-z-i-n-g

what a {phenomenal} experience

remarkable

moving

stunning

special

spiritual

rare

unique

easter dress

so happy sam came along too

at one point we had tears

mass was so great

& see the colorful windows with sun shining through

after mass we took a walk

we found a flower market

all real

all smelled lovely

later we met up with cohen

{a friend from utah state living in paris}

the 3 of us went to monmarte hill

& sacre coeur

then hit up the -moulin rouge-

as we stood there

i sang songs from the movie

i got plenty of the "stupid american" looks

let's be honest:

i {am} used to it

we spent the rest of our sunday strolling the streets of paris

seeing the {seine} river

taking in our surroundings

& enjoying easter sunday in paris

how lucky are we?

"sam... we are in paris"

"chels... we are so lucky"

a crepe for breakfast

{i am always blogging about the delicious food I eat}

so good

lovely stroll around the city

& i was sad to say goodbye
