a picturesque villiage

Today I took a trip to the south-east side of France
we visited a town known as
Annecy
the equivilent of Venice, Italy
BUT BETTER
please google-earth this beautiful city
(make time)

I have {never} been more in -love- with a small city
I took endless photos of the buildings, houses, apartments, windows, and shutters
50 in an hour
I was in none---> so I had to switch things up

fresh flowers, quaint city
every corner had a story
I was in awe

the town of Annecy is:
--- picturesque
--- stunning
--- angelic
--- ideal
--- lovely
--- cute
--- adorable
--- typical european style

Every complex is a different color

xoxo with love
PS. this post is dedicated to Ky Norton.
I loved Annecy so much, well worth the trip!
I am positive it misses you

the next shaun white

yea right
not even close
i have to remind myself he practiced a LOT to get where he is

today i went to the alps
i decided to pay them a visit
we hopped in the car
and in 50 minutes we were among them

i have provided you a map
a map of the resort know as:
----La Clusaz----
one of the most beautiful ski resorts in france
f.y.i ---> i did attempt many runs

can you tell we love p.i.n.k.
meet cayatana she is 7
when snapping this photo, we were @ the lowest run
(in my opinion..... we still look high up)

and on the lift we have bosco (also 7) & angel (the papa)

so here we were
in the alps
it was a decent day
40 degrees at first
but then it started to **snow**
and **snow**
and **snow**
and **snow**
some more
i appologize utah, but the alps kick your {but}
----by size
----by beauty
----by everything
the lifts were never ending
they went higher than i could see the end of
{below} one of the many restauraunts high up in the mountains

as we rode the lifts, we passed over:
restaurants
lodges
coffee shops
and even a clinic
i found this funny because since the mountains are so GIGANTIC
they have so many stopping places for on your way down

by the end of the afternoon we were pooped
i was exhausted
::some falls::
::some bumps::
::some bruises::
and i am positive some people yelled at me in FRENCH
because there i was.... that crazy american girl
{snowboarding}
and because of my lack of experience, i had no control when I cut people off
i became a pro at the phrase
"pardon, je regrette!"
{translation} ----> please excuse me, i'm sorry
but overall
best day
e.v.e.r
and i know all my friends from home are jealous

me smiling after we were done
because so far---->
i am l.o.v.i.n.g. my experience
from switzerland with love
xoxo
P.S. because of the weather i feel my pictures don't capture the beauty of
La Clusaz
so here is one from a clear day
and yes
you do ski form those ridges

Left behind

bad start to the morning
i left a necessity at my house
my pillow
my pink traveling pillow
and when you think about it
my 16 hour trip isn't going to go over that well if i don't have a pillow

T-minus 36 hours

the [single]
most important aspect of traveling is the issue of what to pack

and hello i am moving to Europe

i wish i could pack light

-----> not possible for this young lady

i am closing in on my departure date

[2 days]

and i am staring at an empty suitcase

wondering questions like:

what cardigan do I bring?

---one or both

do i bring the black stilettos or the dressy flats?

---life or death situations fellow bloggers

& don’t let me fool you

i am packing [two] suitcases

AND

a carry on backpack

but give me a break,

you gotta look fashionable AND cute in Europe

so...

what is that making its way into my suitcase?

a.k.a the money belt

this hidden pouch will be a lifesaver

ugly… [check]

uncomfortably strapped around your waist and awkwardly tucked under your clothes… [check]

but it brings you peace of mind

i could lose everything except my money belt,

and the trip could still go on

so wish me luck on the final hours of my packing

i plan on writing about my adventures and posting photos of my excursions while i'm abroad

i may not have many blog followers, but those that do....

i hope you enjoy!

i'll keep things entertaining

dear europe,
i'll be seeing you soon
i know we'll fall in love
can't wait

xoxo- chels
